As a solo developer, I use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with PhasmoLab . I process data under the legal basis of "Legitimate Interests" for improving the service.

What I collect and why:

  • Anonymous usage statistics: To understand user behavior and improve the service
  • Challenge configurations: To generate and temporarily store user-created challenges
  • Temporary share URLs: To enable challenge sharing functionality

2. Data Storage and Retention

I store data only for as long as necessary to provide the service. All data is processed with your consent and can be deleted upon request.

Data Retention Periods:

  • Challenge configurations: Deleted immediately after use or sharing
  • Analytics data: Retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default)

3. Your Data Rights

As a UK-based service, I comply with UK GDPR. You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right of Access: Request a copy of the data I hold
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data
  • Right to Object: Object to processing of your data
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
